Misconstrued

We are being misconstrued when people start making assumptions of us. False assumptions they are. On the other side, we too ought to have false understanding on others when we assume their words and actions according to what we want to believe. This then will lead to misunderstanding and if not brought into a proper talk or discussion will create unhealthy relationships.

I was misconstrued before and I am thankful to have the people who thought wrong of me to actually confront their resentment towards me. Even if that means after half a year, it is all worth it. Very good friends we are now. I couldn't be any happier.

I too made assumptions on others and it is not right. I know it is not. You know it is not.

I am sincerely sorry. Each of us has the right to be upset especially when every detail clicks. But remember, that doesn't mean we are the person in regard. It could always possibly be somebody else out there. After all, the world doesn't revolve around us only, right folks? It is as simple as finding out properly at the first place.

Hoping for the better. Lesson learnt.

When I was 12

...or younger, I couldn't recall taking any vain (according to my own context of vanity) pictures of myself. Simply because 12 year olds during my time weren't prone to this. Or was it just me? Regardless of that, I am rather stunned by the self-captured pictures of my . . .

youngest sister. and my little cousins. and their friends. and all the younger kids.

With captions such as :

"what you're looking at, huh?"

"I'm original, not spicy"

"I wish I was good enough for you, but I can only be myself"

Wah, ganas diorang ni.

Decision making

Have you ever been in such a situation that needs you to decide?

In which that decision will affect you for the rest of your life. Having said so, the kind of decision I meant includes a sadder note - heartache, pain and tears.

Regardless of having to know the consequences, you choose to be ignorant and proceed with approval. Thus you vow to yourself that you are ready and assume you are strong enough to take the road.

The road I have decided to go through after this will enlighten me in so many ways.

But knowing it will eventually end, I can hardly describe what I am suppose to feel in words.

And the reason I must put an end to this so called road on that one fine day is.. my stand towards what I believe in.

Of Carling Cup and Sukan Divisi

So it might be obsolete to post about the Reds' glory in the recent Carling Cup final. I'm still going to post it anyway. Heh. Here goes, after 6 years of trophy draught and a game that caused my heart to palpitate so much, another silverware is ours! Nevertheless, Cardiff was indeed a worthy opponent and the Reds do have a lot of hardwork to be done still.

Congrats Liverpool! From your ever so loyal supporter right here.

On another note, IPG held its Sukan Divisi at IPG and Likas Sports Complex on the 28th of Feb and 1st of March respectively. I was supposedly to participate in 4x1 and 4x4 but my left thigh didn't allow me to due to the sprain during Sukantara. Anyhow, I took responsibility of handling the athletes. Thank God everything fell into places despite so many last minute changes. Making things better was Waja, the division I am in.. WON! :)

"Kalau bukan kita, siapa lagi? Kalau bukan sekarang, bila lagi?" - Waja

Sukan Divisi Day 1. Managing athletes' numbers at the astaka.

Sukan Divisi Day 2. Us Waja surrounded by the 2nd runner up -Putra.

One for all. All for one. Part of June 2011 Intake - PPISMP TESL and Bahasa Cina. Got tickled noticing Tuan Azmi is actually in this picture.

Job well done to all involved.

And now come assignments and Language Camp. Terbaekkk.

Money money how you thrill me

This is an important intro to this post. Please read. *eheemmmmm*

So I am certain all the MU fans out there are mourning over their homeground defeat to ManCity. You don't have to wonder which team I am supporting right. Everyone pretty sure knows that I am a diehard fan of the Reds. Thus, YAAAAYYYYY to ManCity! Sorry uncles, cousins, Dad and of course.. the Prime Minister.

Today is the start of the 1 week sem break my college is having. As we are receiving our monthly allowance of RM 430 per month for foundation programmes, I am sad to declare that I have been spending them so unwisely. I am not a spend thrift. I am not. I am not. Okay enough with the denying missy. Let's see what I've spent them for. Clothes, movie tickets, food and necessary good. (note necessary) I know you do too. I therefore forgive myself for the spending. Bright side of it, I didn't have to ask kachings from my parents which is a good news to them and I too didn't have to carry the guilt for asking/begging for cash. Yes Mom and Dad, I do feel guilty for being such a spender :) but. i. just. can't. help. it.

Still, I must refrain myself from giving in to temptations, all these materials. My verdict to this is less outing. Plain impossible.

How did you spend your allowance? And what are your resolutions towards a spender like me?

Do share :)

First impression

What are the usual impression/s of people on you that you know of? Are you happy with it or vice versa?

As for the one speaking here, it defer according to the people themselves. I pretty got "muka sombong", "tida friendly", "not approachable", "garang", "blur-blur"... Hence, you've got the idea here.

A bit of clarification I may say. I am not sombong or what not. I do smile to people, with exception to strangers. But still, I do smile to certain strangers.. the good ones. My point is simple, don't judge a book by it's cover. You'll be surprised of the content without you knowing. Don't label.

Of course, I can't blame people entirely. It has been experimented that when Jane is not in favour of something, she shows it clearly on her face, according to her closest buddies. Yes, I am very frank, by looks especially. Yet, I know how hypocrisy can come in handy with a decent purpose.

I am not saddened (maybe a bit) nor angry of those impressions on me, but my little heart wishes people around aren't so judgemental. It also wishes that people will open their hearts and minds to accept the flaws that others have. I wish that the ethnocentrism in each of us won't prolong. I wish for friendship, a genuine one. I wish I simply wishes for things to be, just better.

To a dear friend of mine, I am truly sorry for having to judge you at first. I am also sorry that I did that based on what others told me of you. I am glad of our confrontation and the mistakes we admit on doing. I just want you to know that I'll be here for you whenever you need me. Do not be discouraged of your past, everyone has theirs. God is ever merciful.

This goes to another friend, I know that it's hard to have faith when things go all wrong and unanswered. I know how hard it is to believe when we are not seeing what we want to see. I truly know. But as much as I said that I know, only you know yourself best. I hope that you won't give up and consume those anger in you. I pray that He opens your heart, once again.

Let them hate, as long as they fear.

Mother Nature versus Us

Earlier this morning, we (wherever you are in any part of Sabah) experienced the heavy rain and thunderstorm. As for myself, I was awaken at around 4-ish when I felt bit of the vibration perhaps coming from the thunder itself, all loud and mighty. On my way to college, fallen trees and poles everywhere. Traffic jam was massive. But that's not the point, my point is.. we can never go against Mother Nature.

As far as I can recall, this is the worst by far. I am still puzzled of how the construction signage at the entrance of my college could collapse to that extent. I'm taking it as somehow also a wake up call that we can never expect what's ahead. Be it the awful weather or life threatening situations, we often take life for granted. Only during these times that we slowly recite our prayers because we are afraid. True or false, we ourselves determine.

Again, at the end of the day, we are all human. I, you, her, and him. Often too stubborn, often too neglectful, often too ignorant. Let's then just live life to the fullest without never failing to appreciate what we are blessed with.

Mother Nature always wins.
